Postnatal yoga course
With Emma
Upcoming course dates for April and May are available in the app.
Giving birth marks the beginning of a deeply transformative and beautiful phase of your life. As your body, hormones, and emotions readjust, you may notice new sensations, shifts, and layers within yourself. This course invites you to reconnect with your body, rebuild strength and meet other new mothers, all while navigating the physical, mental, and emotional changes that naturally come with the postnatal journey.
Strengthening and gentle movements, breathing, and releasing muscular tension are some of the elements you will experience throughout the 4 classes, all designed to help you reconnect with your female body. We focus on gently strengthening your body—especially the muscles around the core, pelvic floor, and lower back. In addition, the classes focus on stimulating your baby’s senses. All mothers in the group are encouraged to bring their babies so we can include the little ones in our practice. We will try to entertain the babies through some of the yoga postures, and you may even hold your baby during specific exercises. We take things calmly, and it is expected that things can be impulsive and unpredictable when including small children in this way. Therefore, you should feel completely comfortable if your baby sleeps through the entire class or if you need a break to breastfeed. Our studio is large and spacious, so simply take the rest you need on our sofa.
The classes are primarily focused on you, so of course you are free to choose whether you bring your baby or come on your own.
We have gently designed this course with respect for your needs and your pace. We also make sure to create a warm and welcoming space so you can leave the house feeling at ease, connect with like-minded new mothers, and build a bond with your newborn through fun and safe exercises.
You are welcome exactly as you are, and we have no expectations of your condition when you arrive. Maybe you are still in your pyjamas when you show up—and we will be ready with a warm hug, a pot of tea, and small snacks.
